Why Wyoming With Us Is Different

Accessible Hunting Opportunities in Wyoming & Montana

At Nelson Outfitters, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the outdoors. Our antelope and deer hunts in Wyoming and Montana can be tailored to accommodate hunters of all ability levels, including those with limited mobility. Whether you’re hunting from a vehicle, using a ground blind, or need special access, we’ll work with you to customize the experience so it’s safe, enjoyable, and successful.

If you or someone in your party has any physical limitations or accessibility needs, please let us know ahead of time so we can best plan and prepare your hunt.

Wyoming Elk Hunts: Be Prepared

Our Wyoming elk hunts are an unforgettable experience — but they are also physically demanding. These hunts take place in the rugged Big Horn Mountains and often involve hiking from elevations of 3,500 feet to 5,500 feet, with steep terrain, variable weather, and the potential for long walks in the dark after the shot.

We strongly recommend that hunters participating in elk hunts are in good physical condition, capable of hiking several miles in a day, and comfortable navigating mountainous terrain. If you have any questions about what to expect or how to prepare, we’re happy to discuss it with you directly.

Private Land Focus

The majority of our hunting takes place on private leased ground we’ve managed for decades. This means less pressure and better opportunity.

1:1 Guide Ratio

We do not mix hunting groups and we never double-book. If you arrive alone, you will hunt alone with your guide. Every one of our hunts is a personal, one-on-one experience.

Hunt At Your Pace

Many outfitters will send you home once the animal is down. With us, we expect our clients to stay and use the full duration of their scheduled hunt. If your animal comes early in the week, you have the rest of the time to fish, shoot coyotes, relax, sightsee, or explore Sheridan, Wyoming — all at no extra cost.

Guide With You All Hunt

Your guide remains yours for the full scheduled hunt duration.
